Im sure I am not the only one to have noticed a huge shift towards zero waste and environmentally friendly products on the market. The world is beginning wake up and see that we can take a little more responsibility and pleasure in looking after our surroundings.
Lately I have started looking for ways to clean up my lifestyle and make more of an effort to reduce my waste. I have been vegetarian for 14 years and plant based for two and have always taken pride in the fact that this is one of the best ways to be environmentally conscious. I have believed in this so much that I had forgotten that there were many other ways in which I could be doing my part to give mother nature a little more love. So I’m slowly trying to change this starting at home.
Im taking it slow and simple starting off with a homemade kitchen and surface spray. This is a really simple recipe and I have chosen to use lavender and orange to give it a really fresh smell. My house can be a little chaotic with three adults, one child and a dog so we need all the help we can get in the smell department.
So with out any further delay here is the recipe I am using, feel free to adapt and change to suit your likes and needs. The water and vinegar base remains the same, the scents are up to you!
Good luck and please let me know how you get on.
